Modern Day Pirates
Blackbeard, Calico Jack, Anne Bonny and Henry Morgan are all famous pirates of yester-year, however modern day pirates are making a coming back in Somali. Piracy dates back over 100 years with money (jewels and gold) as it potential wealth. However, todays modern pirates seem to think hostages are worth more than the ship’s cargo.
In breaking news — The Maersk Sealand ship was
boarded by a group of Somalia pirates. The crew has been said to be released, however the Captain is still reported to be a hostage.
Over 15 ships have reported pirates active during this same time.
This current hijacked ships was said to contain 20 Americans and cargo for Africa.
